Solar Plexus Chakra Manipura: Energy of the Sun

Third Chakra, Solar Plexus Chakra, Manipura—Energy of the Sun

The third chakra, the solar plexus chakra, Manipura, is found where the ribs meet the belly, in the stomach area. The celiac nerve is the center of the Manipura chakra, located a little more to the back against the spine.

The centers of the each of the chakras are located closer to the central nervous system. Here there is more concentration of consciousness. Like the other chakras, the solar plexus chakra is back against the spine, more nearer the central nervous system than to the front of the body.

The qualities of Manipura chakra are those of the quality of creating order, of liking things to be a certain way. Therefore, the energy here likes to structure in an administrative fashion. This energy resonates with structures that are similar in the creation—to all of the administrative structures in the universe.

The sound of Manipura chakra is associated with Ram, the ideal administrator.

The solar plexus chakra is responsible for digestive organs: liver, gall bladder, spleen, stomach, kidneys, pancreas. All of those organs will function more healthily and productively when the third chakra is functioning healthfully.
